Week Six
When Jesus met Andrew, he said, "Come, follow me!" So Andrew followed Jesus. Andrew spent the whole day with Jesus. Andrew didn't want to leave when it was time to go, so he stayed with Jesus. Andrew liked spending time with Jesus. We can spend time with Jesus too! When we spend time with Jesus it makes Him happy. Just like it makes our friends here on Earth happy when we spend time with them.

That is exciting news!

Week 9-12 Memory Verse: We must obey God rather than men. Acts 5:29b
Week 9-12 Truth: Jesus wants us to make right choices.
Week 9-12 Truth: Jesus wants us to make right choices.
Week Nine
Jesus' disciples were out fishing one night and hadn't caught anything. When they were on their way back to the shore He appeared to them from the shore and told them to throw the nets on the other side of the boat. The disciples didn't realize it was Jesus telling them to do it, but they listened and obeyed anyway. When they pulled up their nets it was heavy with lots of fish. Jesus wants us to listen and obey Him. He wants us to make the right choices. When we obey and listen to God, He will help us to see what choices are right ones and what choices are wrong ones.
Week Ten
God asked Jonah to go to the city of Nineveh. The people of Nineveh were making wrong choices and God wanted Jonah to talk to them. Jonah had a choice to make. He chose to run away because he didn't want people to make fun of him or get mad at him. Jonah made the wrong choice and God got his attention by having him swallowed by a big fish. Jonah realized he made the wrong choice, so he prayed to God. Once outside the belly of the fish, Jonah chose to do the right thing and he traveled to Nineveh and talked to the people. God wants us to make the right choice and obey Him even when we are afraid. Sometimes we'll make the wrong choice, but just like Jonah, we can learn from our wrong choice and make the right choice.
Week Eleven
There are lots of times, every single day, when we make choices. When we obey, we are making the right choice but when we don't obey, we are making the wrong choice. Jesus healed 10 lepers one day and they were so excited and happy to be healed they went away to tell/show others they were healed. One man was so happy, he ran all the way back to Jesus to cry out his thanks. Only one man! What happened to the other nine? This man who came back was thankful for what Jesus did. We need to be thankful for all Jesus does for us too! And tell Him! He likes it when you say thank you. We need to make the right choice and be thankful for our blessings each day by having a thankful attitude.
Week Twelve
One day a man traveling was beaten and his things taken by robbers. He was left hurt and helpless. Three men traveled down the same road as this poor man but only one stopped to help him. This good Samaritan wrapped the hurt man with bandages and took care of him until he was feeling better. The good Samaritan made a good choice to stop and help someone who was hurt. Yes, it cost him time and some money but God is happy with those who do what is right and give up things to help others. Jesus wants us to do the right things. We need to remember to put others first and choose to do right and show God's love to everyone.
