What is Kid's Small Group?
Small groups are the next step growth path at Rock Brook Church. The Rock Brook for Kid's Small Groups are especially designed for children and staffed primarily by leaders from our regular weekend services who already have an existing relationship with the kids. Kid's Small Groups guide children down a spiritual path using the Five Purposes given to us by Jesus in The Great Commandment and The Great Commission (Matthew 22:36-40 and 28:19-20). Kid's Small Group uses The Journey curriculum, which follows the themes of our adult Growth Track process (Step 1 - Step 4: formerly known as 101-401 classes). We are excited to present this wonderful opportunity for our children's relational, intellectual, and spiritual developments.
Class Descriptions
Grade One - How to Love Jesus: A Journey to discover my Savior
Your child will begin his/her journey into the New Testament by learning about Jesus, His teachings, and about those who witnessed His life. We will focus discussions on why God sent Him, and why Jesus was sent to save us.

Grade Two - How to Worship Jesus: A Journey to discover my church
Your child will be studying the early leaders and heroes of the New Testament. Children will study how Gods people responded to the teachings of Jesus, received the Holy Spirit, and started the Church.

KSG 101 (Grade Three) - How to Belong to Jesus: A Journey to discover my purpose: Step 1
We will begin to study the foundational beliefs of Christianity and our world view from a Christ-centered perspective. We will encourage the kids to explore their personal perspectives regarding the world and how God has uniquely created them to live, enjoy, and fellowship with one another.

KSG 201 (Grade Four) - How to Grow in Jesus: A Journey to discover my spiritual growth: Step 2
We launch kids into a mindful awareness of their love and dependance on God's words and promises for their life. Our lessons are in-depth Bible studies that will introduce the kids to more sophisticated concepts that are revealed throughout the New Testament.

KSG 301 (Grade Five) - How to Serve Jesus: A Journey to discover my SHAPE: Step 3
Our lessons set the scene to uncover the profound directives in Christ's Great Commandment and Great Commission, and how each of us has been uniquely shaped to fulfill the principles of Worship, Fellowship, Discipleship, Evangelism, and Service to others.

These lessons complete the 6 year journey the kids have taken with KSG by a challenging exploration of what it means to take God's message of love and salvation into the world. Kids will be asked to think about God's mission for their life and how they can become more like Jesus, growing a love-filled heart.

A Purpose Night is a special meeting that emphasizes the Purpose featured in Grades 3 through 6 Kid's Small Group classes.
